THE ORDER OF GOOD CHEER
By Alanis King and Shadowland Theatre
In 1606 Mikmaq chief Membertou and French explorer Samuel de Champlain meet, strut their stuff and forge a unique harmony over the rituals of a meal, creating The Order of Good Cheer.
Using the Toronto Island landscape as its backdrop, Shadowland creates a theatrical feast that cooks up our last 400 years and brings it to the boil.
